Insights from Behind the Line 


After more than 39 years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry, Paul G. Tuennerman brings a somewhat sarcastic but always humorous tone to the Internet via “Insights from Behind the Line,” a veteran’s perspective on the happenings and what not, in the Restaurant Industry.


How it Started 


For many, a part time job at 15 years of age is little more than a way to put some money in your pocket.  For Paul Tuennerman, frying fish at Arthur Treacher’s in Blacksburg, VA sparked both a passion and a career that has now spanned more than 39 years.


Paul’s educational experience includes National University, York College of Pennsylvania, University of Maryland University College, and an MBA Certificate from A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.  Paul is currently attending the University of New Orleans.


In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time sailing on the Gulf of Mexico with his German Shorthaired Pointer, Skipper.

Paul’s 3 Rules of Life 


I have been extremely fortunate in my life.  Along the way I’ve tried to manage a course using three guiding principles by which to govern.


Momentum - I always want to make way in life. I never want to be stagnant in choosing a path to follow, as one can never know the outcome.


Compassion - I want to be able to always care for my fellow man, regardless of our relationship.


Impact - I want to leave an indelible mark on those I meet, be it in passing or otherwise.
